Why should you choose to register tour boat in france ?

French flag is in the top 3 of the European flags, knowned and reconized everywhere in the world ! 

There are three basic requirements for registering a boat in France:

1- EU citizen, or 50% co-owned the ship with a European Union citizen. 

Does a company can own a boat withe the french registration ?
Yes, any European company can register a boat under the French flag! Do not hesitate to ask us about this.

2 - VAT must be paid, a boat from an EU country, owned by a private individual, may be considered as tax inclusive by France (to be considered on a case by case basis). Yes, VAT can be recovered by an EU company afterwards.

3 - The boat must be CE marked, and you must have the ship's CE certificate, i.e. the written declaration of conformity for all boats built after 16/06/1998. For boats built before 16/06/1998, two solutions:

- If the vessel has been registered at least once under a Community flag since its construction, the reciprocity rule will be applied and the vessel accepted

- If not, a PCA (post construction assessment) will be compulsory, and will entail significant costs depending on the type of vessel, in this case we recommend the Polish registration
